Recently Jeep announced the release of its latest special edition, the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Recon. It is built tough and includes decent off road shoes and decent bar work as standard. The Recon Edition's inspiration is drawn from the Wrangler Recon range but is a more jazzed up version. The recon includes some serious rock sliders, heavy duty cast diff covers and stronger front axle's. Jeep has said that the Recon's Front Axle has been strengthened via heavy-duty end forgings and tubes. The recon has been given the special-edition cosmetic upgrades. The vehicle can be fitted with 32-inch BF Goodrich off-road rubber as an option. Some in your face front and rear tow hooks are added and painted a bright red. It does blend in well with the black trim and front grille.
The model is set to hit dealer lots this month in the USA and will set you back $39,145 - AU$51086 for the two-door model and $42,945 - AU$56,043 for the Wrangler Unlimited (four-door) model. Unfortunately the FCA Australia has confirmed that there are no plans to bring this model to Australia. So your own import arrangements along with RHD conversions will need to be organized.
