Congratulations to Toyota for winning Australia's 4x4 of the Year Award.
According to 4x4Australia.com it was a nail-biting finish coming right down to the line. The award was presented at the Virgin Australia Supercar Championship Aus motoring awards. The competing vehicles were put through an extremely tiring route put together by Rob Emmins through the Victorian High Country. Each of the vehicles were pushed to their limits to test their full capabilities on and off the road. Each of the 4x4 finalists were marked against a pre set list of criteria that consisted of; - Value For Money - New Technology & Features - Overall Design and Build Quality - Off-road Practicality - What Aftermarket Accessories are compatible with the 4x4 - Capability When the scores from the 8 judges were tallied up the Cruiser scraped through by the skin of its teeth to snag the 4x4OTY award. It may lack the finer luxuries of the other 4x4's but you cannot go past its overall capability off-road. “Without doubt the best 4x4 in the group,” judge Matt Raudonikis said.
