Billy Goat's Bluff is a popular 4wd trail that's located deep within the Alpine National Park, in Victorian High Country. The track has been marked 'very steep' on Hema Maps and for good reason. A 7km drive up the treacherous rocky fire trail will bring you to a height of 1200 meters above sea level. In winter the track is usually coated in snow, so be sure to pack a set of chains if your crazy enough to give it a crack. The track should not be tried in bad weather as it is incredibly steep & rocky. It is recommended that only experienced drivers tackle Billy Goat's Bluff. During your ascent be sure to take in some of the stunning view's on both your left and right. The high point gives you some excellent vantage points so have your camera's ready~! The track is occasionally graded that can make it more slippery in areas when wet. Be sure to use your lo range gears when descending the 5km track to the valley base. TRACK TIPS & RECOMMENDATIONS:
